Walking directions to Palazetto Madonna Hotel (with map)
The Palazzetto Madonna is a bit of a walk from the nearest Alilaguna airport-boat stop (Ca' Rezzonico), but unless you're burdened with heavy luggage, it's worth the pleasant stroll. The Palazzetto Madonna, which opened only a few years ago, is in a lovely small palace overlooking a canalside fondamenta not far from the Frari Church. A small garden courtyard adds to the palazzetto's appeal. As a bonus, the immediate neighborhood has several popular cafés and restaurants. The hotel offers 15 rooms, ranging from doubles to suites. (Two are handicapped-accessible.) If your budget permits, we suggest booking a deluxe double or suite with a canal view. How to reach Palazzetto Maddona from the Alilaguna Linea Arancio airport-boat stop at Ca' Rezzonico:
From the San Tomà vaporetto stop:If you're coming from Piazzale Roma or the Santa Lucia Railroad Station and the public water buses aren't too crowded, you can take the No. 1 vaporetto to the San Tomà ACTV stop. From there, it's a quick walk to the Palazzetto Madonna with no bridges to cross:
Tip: You'll find the San Tomà ACTV stop handy for sightseeing trips up and down the Grand Canal, even if you arrive and depart on Alilaguna's airport boat.
