The
B&B Fortuny is a lovely boutique property with the ambiance of a small
design hotel. The Fortuny is within easy walking distance of the Piazza San
Marco, yet it's on a small, quiet square that most tourists never find.
Rooms are air-conditioned and decorated in a
modern, unfussy style. (As a bonus, each room has a kettle--something you won't often find in Venice--and pets are
welcome.)
How to reach the B&B Fortuny from the
Sant'Angelo airport-boat stop (Alilaguna Linea Arancio):
As you leave the
Alilaguna and ACTV waterbus
pier, bear right and walk
inland on the street ahead of you.
Within a few meters, the street will
widen into a square, the Corte dell'Albero.
Look for a street ahead of you, across the square. Continue
on this short street to a canal.
At the canal, turn right and walk along
the canal to the next corner and bridge.
At the bridge, turn right and go down the
steps into a small square, the Corte Lucatello. The B&B Fortuny will be
immediately on
your left as you enter the square, with a small sign on the door. (See photo
above.)
